We are committed to creating a team environment in our food truck, so we strive to hire people who fully understand what it takes to become a long-term and dedicated member of our staff. As summer is our busiest season, we do add staff to cover the extra volume of customers during this time, though in general our goal is to hire people for year-round employment.

If you are a self-starter who is friendly, outgoing, dedicated, and reliable, we would be happy for you to submit an application. An unwavering sense of humor and a willingness to smile for an entire 5 to 6-hour shift is a must 🙂 We also ask that applicants have the ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.

For those students under 16 years old and interested in applying – Washington Child Labor Laws prevent us from scheduling you to work more than a 3-hour shift during the school week, and no later than 9pm during the summer, so afternoon/evening shifts in our truck will not be possible for you. We stay open until 8:00pm or 9:00pm depending on the time of year, and our shifts run between 5 and 7 hours in length. Due to these restrictions, we are unable to hire anyone under the age of 16. Please consider applying once you turn 16.

A few things to keep in mind when applying for a position in our truck:

  • We think working in our burger truck is fun, but it’s also a lot of hard work.  Being super quick and a master multi-tasker is a must.
  • You really, really, really need to enjoy interacting with people. Being friendly, outgoing, and conversational is of the utmost importance in customer service and we take this requirement very seriously when we hire. If you are going through a moody and dark teenager phase, we’d like you to apply after you outgrow that stage. Thanks! [please refer back to our requirement of having “an unwavering sense of humor …” when reading this last sentence. ] 😉

  • Please be available to work nights and weekends throughout the summer. Employees will also need to commit to being available on holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day).

  • In keeping with our goal of creating a team environment, all employees are equally responsible for completing all tasks necessary in the day to day operations of our food truck. Being physically able to carry heavy items and stand on your feet for long periods is required. Cleaning floors and griddles, emptying the frier, emptying trash barrels, refilling supplies, walking back and forth (and back and forth, and back and forth) to our storage area and doing dishes (lots and lots of greasy dishes!) are just some of the additional daily tasks that are part of the job description.
